Moving house, or just clearing it? Kruze does both
If you searched for a man with a van for rubbish removal, you are probably doing one of two jobs, and often both on the same day. Either you are clearing things out and want them gone, or you are moving and have discovered that about a van load of what you own is not coming with you. That combination is less common than it sounds. A removals company will carry your boxes to the new address and leave the broken wardrobe, the old mattress and the bags of garage clutter exactly where they are, because taking waste away needs a waste carrier licence they usually do not hold. A rubbish removal firm will take the clutter and has no interest in moving your furniture. Booking both means two companies, two arrival windows and two minimum charges on the same day.
Move and clear, the job most people actually have
The most common version of this is the end of a tenancy or a completion date. There is a pile going to the new place and a pile going nowhere, and the second pile causes the panic, because landlords, agents and buyers all expect the property left clear. We handle it as one visit. The crew loads what you are keeping and drops it at the new address, then the rest goes in the van as waste and you get a digital waste transfer note for it. If the timing is awkward we can do the clearance on a separate day, though most people prefer it done in one.

What the moving half costs
Clearing is priced by the space your waste fills in the van, as set out above. Moving is priced by the hour instead, with the first hour fixed. A van and driver is £75 for the first hour and £40 for each hour after that. Two people and a van is £100 for the first hour and £55 for each hour after that, which is what most home moves need because of the lifting.
As a rough guide with a two person crew, a one bedroom home is from £210 at about three hours, a two bedroom is from £320 at about five hours, and a three bedroom is from £430 at about seven hours. Whatever you are quoted is the price you pay and nothing is added at the end. If you find a cheaper like-for-like licensed quote we will beat it by 10%.
When a removals company is the better call
We are not always the right answer and it is worth saying so. If you are moving a four bedroom house a long distance, a dedicated removals firm with a lorry and a packing team will usually do it better and cheaper than a van making several runs. If you have a lot of fragile or high value items and want them professionally packed and insured as part of the job, that is also a removals firm rather than a man and van. Where we win is the smaller move, the awkward move and above all the move that comes with a pile of things nobody else will take.

Do I need to be there, and will I have to help load? Someone needs to let us in and point at what goes, but you do not lift anything, because the price includes the two person crew doing all the loading.
