How education clearances are priced
We price by the volume removed, which keeps budgets predictable. A small load starts from £24.99, a quarter van from £50, a half van from £100 and a full van from £200. A large clearance across a whole site or a multi-classroom refit is quoted to the job after we have seen it. Bulky items sit within these figures, for example a two-door cupboard or wardrobe at £54 and a three-door at £72. We can give the school, academy or multi-academy trust a single fixed price and an itemised note for the finance office, which makes it easy to raise a purchase order and reconcile the spend afterwards.
What we clear from a site
We remove desks, chairs, tables, storage units, lockers, bookcases, whiteboards, staffroom and office furniture, IT and electrical equipment, interactive screens, science lab and design-technology workshop items, musical and sports equipment, hall staging and general waste. Our two-person crews carry everything out so caretaking and teaching staff are not pulled off their own work, and we can schedule the visit for holidays, inset days, weekends or after hours where access is arranged, so there is no disruption to lessons. We are happy to sign in at reception, follow your on-site safeguarding procedures and keep to agreed routes through the building, which matters when children are present anywhere on the grounds.
Recycling and reuse
More than 85 percent of what we collect is recycled or reused. Furniture and equipment still in usable condition is passed on wherever possible, which many schools like because their surplus goes on to do some good rather than straight to waste. Electricals such as old computers, screens and lab equipment are recycled under WEEE, with any fridges degassed by a licensed facility. Upholstered chairs and soft seating are handled as POPS waste at an authorised facility rather than being sent to a skip. Timber, metal and cardboard are separated for recycling, and you receive a waste transfer note that fits your environmental reporting.
