Same-day rubbish removal in Leeds means booking in the morning and having it gone by teatime, without a skip, a permit or a wait. Kruze runs same-day man and van collections across Leeds and West Yorkshire, usually if you book before noon, from £24.99 with all the lifting done for you. This guide explains how same-day collection actually works, what it costs, what can slow it down, and how to give yourself the best chance of a slot today. Every job is licensed (CBDU597687) and comes with a waste transfer note.

How does same-day rubbish removal work?

It is simpler than most people expect. You send a photo of what needs clearing on WhatsApp, we send back a fixed price and a time window, and a two-person team turns up, loads everything and takes it away. No skip delivery to wait for, nothing to bag beforehand, and no permit to arrange.

The rule of thumb is book by noon, gone by teatime. The earlier in the day you get in touch, the easier it is to fit you into the day’s route, so a 9am message beats a 2pm one.

What does same-day collection cost in Leeds?

Same-day does not mean a premium price. We charge on the space your waste fills in the van, or per item, and quote it fixed before we start.

Load sizePriceTypical job
Single item or minimum chargefrom £24.99One appliance or a few bags
Quarter van loadfrom £50A small clear-out
Half van loadfrom £100A garage or a couple of rooms
Full van loadfrom £200A full house or flat clearance

The minimum charge covers up to 40kg, which is roughly 6 to 8 black bags. We also beat any like-for-like licensed quote by 10 percent. For the full breakdown by weight and single item, see our Leeds rubbish removal price guide.

What can slow a same-day booking down?

Being honest about this helps everyone. A few things make same-day harder, though rarely impossible.

  • Booking late in the day. By mid-afternoon the day’s routes are usually full. Next morning is often the realistic option.
  • Very large clearances. A full house may need more time or a second run, so it can shift to a booked slot.
  • Access and parking. Tight streets, permit-only bays or no loading space near the door can add time. Tell us up front so we plan for it.
  • Special items. Fridges, sofas and electricals are all fine, they just travel a specific route, which we sort out for you.

What can you get collected same-day?

Almost anything a household or business needs gone. General waste and bagged rubbish, furniture, sofas and mattresses, fridges, freezers and appliances, garden waste, office and shop clear-outs, and single items right up to a full clearance. We collect from anywhere on the property, including upstairs, garages, lofts and gardens, so you do not need to move a thing before we arrive.

The usual exceptions are hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals and gas bottles, which need a specialist route. If you are not sure what you have, send a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Why same-day still has to be licensed

Speed is no excuse for skipping the paperwork. Whoever takes your waste should be a registered carrier and should hand you a waste transfer note, because your duty of care does not disappear just because the job was quick. If an unlicensed operator fly-tips a same-day load, it still traces back to you, and in Leeds that is a £200 fixed penalty. Check any carrier free on the Environment Agency public register. Ours is CBDU597687. If you want to know how to vet a collector properly, read how to choose a licensed rubbish removal company.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really collect today?

Usually, yes, if you book before noon and we can reach you. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm a same-day time window or the earliest slot.

Is same-day more expensive than booking ahead?

No. Same-day collections start from the same £24.99. You are not charged a rush fee for booking today.

Do I need to bag or move anything first?

No. Our two-person team does all the loading, including from upstairs and the garden. Just point at what is going.

Which areas do you cover for same-day?

Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Harrogate and Barnsley, plus the towns in between. Not sure if we reach you? Just ask.
