Building waste removal priced by the weight you make
Building work makes heavy, mixed waste fast, and the true cost of dealing with it comes down to weight far more than volume. A skip can sit half full of rubble and still be over its limit. Kruze clears building and renovation waste with a two person crew who load it for you, weigh it fairly and send as much as possible for recycling instead of tipping the lot. You carry nothing, you hire no container, and you only pay for what you have actually produced.
How building waste is priced
Dense material like rubble, tiles, concrete and hardcore is charged by weight, which is much fairer than a bin bag guess. As a guide, 50kg is £45, 100kg is £68, 200kg is £136 and 500kg is £340. Lighter mixed loads can instead be priced by van space, from a quarter van at £50 up to a full van at £200. Specialist heavy streams such as rubble, hardcore and soil away start from £45. Send a photo of the pile and we will tell you honestly which method comes out cheaper for your particular load, and the quoted figure is the figure you pay once the crew has weighed it in front of you.
Plasterboard needs care
Plasterboard has to be kept separate from general waste because of the way it breaks down and reacts, so there are firm rules around it. We allow plasterboard up to 10 percent of a mixed load at no extra cost, which covers the odd offcut. Above that threshold there is a £35 contamination charge, or you can use dedicated plasterboard bags at £105 so it is handled correctly as its own clean stream. Telling us roughly how much plasterboard is in the pile before we arrive lets us price the job correctly the first time round.
What we take
We clear brick, block, concrete, rubble, hardcore, timber offcuts, old tiles, plaster, packaging, insulation and the general strip out waste that comes from renovations, extensions and small builds. If you have a bathroom rip out mixed in, items such as a shower tray at £54 or a bath of tiles at £108 can be quoted alongside the rest. The crew carries every bit of it out from wherever it sits, so you and your trades can keep working while the site is cleared around you.
Recycling and booking
We sort building waste so that aggregates, metals, wood and clean plasterboard go to the right recyclers rather than to landfill, which keeps more than 85 percent of what we collect out of the ground. Message a photo of the pile with your postcode on WhatsApp for a fixed price. Book before noon for likely same day collection, and every job comes with a digital waste transfer note under our Environment Agency licence CBDU597687. If a builder or homeowner has been quoted less by another licensed carrier for the same load, we will beat that price by 10 percent, so there is no reason to let the rubble sit around gathering more on top of it.
