IKEA collection and delivery with assembly
A trip to IKEA is easy until you reach the collection point, see the flat pack stacked up and realise none of it is going to fit in the car. We collect your order from the store or the click and collect point, deliver it to your home and can build it for you as well, so you skip the queue, the roof rack and a long evening with an allen key. It is priced by the hour, agreed in advance with no deposit, and the crew turns up ready to carry and assemble. We run IKEA collections across Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Harrogate and Barnsley, so wherever your nearest store is we can pick the order up and bring it home for you.
How IKEA collections are priced
A standard IKEA run suits a van and driver at £75 for the first hour then £40 for each additional hour, which covers collecting your order and delivering it to your door. A big order of wardrobes and units that needs a second pair of hands, or full assembly once it arrives, is better with two men and a van at £100 for the first hour then £55 for each additional hour. The price is fixed up front so you know the total before we set off. Assembly is included in the hourly time on site, so a built wardrobe or bed is simply part of the run rather than an extra charge.
What the crew actually does
We collect your order against your details and paperwork, load the flat packs padded so the corners do not crush or the edges chip, and deliver everything into the room you want rather than dumping it in the hall. If you would like it built, the crew assembles wardrobes, beds, chests of drawers, bookcases and shelving, checks it stands square and takes the empty packaging away tidy so you are not left with a mountain of cardboard. If you are furnishing a whole room or a new flat, we can collect a large order and build the lot in one visit, so you go from flat packs to a finished room the same day.
The right van for the job
A medium or Luton van suits most IKEA orders and keeps long flat packs lying flat rather than bent or leaning, which is how panels get damaged in a car. For a full room or a whole home of furniture we size up to a larger van so nothing travels stacked under weight it should not carry, and every box arrives in the shape it left the store.
