We price the work by the hour so you only pay for the time your move actually takes, and we agree a fixed figure with you before the day so there is nothing to work out on the doorstep. There is no deposit to put down and the crew arrives ready to go. We cover Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Harrogate and Barnsley, so wherever your new place is in the area we can reach it easily. What a one bedroom move costs
A one bedroom home typically starts from £210 with two men and a van, which works out at around three hours of work. That price covers both movers, the padded van, and all the blankets and straps we bring with us. The hourly rate behind it is £100 for the first hour then £55 for each additional hour, so a quick move can come in under the guide. If you have very little furniture, a van and driver at £75 for the first hour then £40 for each additional hour is a lighter and cheaper option worth asking about.
What the crew actually does
The team loads everything for you, wraps sofas and mattresses in blankets and straps them so nothing slides on the drive. We dismantle a bed frame or a flat pack wardrobe where it needs to come apart to clear a doorway or a staircase, then we reassemble it at the new place so you are not left with an allen key and a pile of panels. Fragile items are padded and packed to travel, boxes are loaded heaviest first to keep the load stable, and nothing gets dragged across your floors or bumped down the stairs. If you would rather not pack yourself, a packing service is available and we bring the boxes, tape and paper, which is handy when a move creeps up faster than you planned.

Most one bedroom moves suit a medium van or a Luton, and either will usually clear the whole home in a single trip so there is no back and forth. If you are moving out of a compact studio with just the essentials, a small van keeps the cost right down. When you book we will ask a few simple questions about your furniture and how much you have, so we send a vehicle that fits it all first time rather than turning up too small.

Every move carries goods in transit insurance as standard, our crews are DBS checked, and we are fully licensed and insured.
